滿眼塵沙，從萬里之外歸來，
客人來訪，相對我這舊時儒生的寒酸。
秋風早已熟悉這茅草屋，
朝陽依舊照上我這苜蓿盤。
雲中野鶴的性情，閒適離去才好，
山林的本來面目正該如此看待。
今年稍稍推遲了賞梅的約定，
貂皮衣雖已破舊，卻還不至於感到寒冷。

Eyes filled with dust and sand, from miles away I've returned,
A guest comes to face this old scholar's sour plight.
Autumn wind, accustomed to my thatched hut, has learned,
Morning sun still climbs to my plate of clover, plain and light.
A cloud-crane's nature finds peace in going free,
The mountain-forest's true face was meant to be seen.
This year, the plum blossom pact deferred slightly for me,
Though my marten coat wears thin, it wards off the cold, serene.
