輕微的寒意陣陣襲來，透入我單薄的衣衫。
新霜即將降落，露水的痕跡顯得濃重；
殘缺的月亮漸漸升高，河中的影子微微可見。
村犬受寒驚擾，不時自發地吠叫；
水禽失去了伴侶，在夜裡依然飛翔。
我還需要更多的景物來完善詩句，
不要驚訝爲何夜深了我還未掩上房門。

A piercing chill steals in, through my thin robe it blows.
Fresh frost about to fall, the dew's trace is increased;
The waning moon climbs high, the river's faint light shows.
Village dogs, startled by cold, now and then bark;
Waterfowl, having lost mates, through night still fly.
I need more scenes to perfect this poetic spark,
Don't wonder why, late into night, my door stays open nigh.
