寂靜的夜晚翻閱著古籍，
青藜燈照亮了五行文字。
遺憾沒有像鮑叔牙那樣懂我的知己，
空自羨慕能啟發我的子夏。
學業使內心如同荊棘叢生，
追求功名使得鬢髮將要染霜。
此生道路應由我自己決斷，
不再去詢問蒼天。

I regret lacking a friend like Bao who knows my soul,
In vain I envy Shang, who inspired with praises.

No more will I ask the vast heaven of its mazes.
