欣喜地看見東籬邊粲然綻放的如玉白菊。
它粉白的面容真能挽留月宮中的仙子，
它檀香般的花心確實不羨慕那梅花兄長。
屈原的《離騷》豈是爲了詠贊這黃花而作？
煉丹的鼎爐正需要這素潔的液體才能煉成。
不必驚訝它開得晚，錯過了重陽佳節，
身著白衣的它，依然足以面對陶淵明那樣的高士。

A thousand flowers, a hundred blooms are fading away,
Joyful to see by the eastern fence, the jade-like blossoms so bright.
Their powdered faces truly can detain the Moon's fair sister;
Their sandalwood hearts indeed do not envy the Plum Brother's might.
The "Li Sao" was not composed for these yellow flowers' sake;
The alchemist's cauldron requires a pure elixir to make.
Do not wonder they bloom late, after the fine festival's end—
In plain white robes, they still are worthy of Tao Yuanming, my friend.
