為何還要為公務遠行到異鄉？
已經感覺到春意臨近豔陽。
江石如齒，沖刷著翻起翠綠的波浪，
蔣草（茭白）的新芽穿過小洲，冒出青芒。
艱難地離開京城，在此滯留漂泊，
年紀老大，逢此佳節，更倍感傷。
等我回到幕府，備好酒食與朋友共聚，
犀角酒杯還能趕上在公堂上共飲舉杯。

Already I feel spring's visage near the radiant sun's stand.
The river's teeth, washing rocks, churn up emerald waves;
Reeds' sharp tips pierce the isle, sprouting green blades.
Leaving my country in hardship, I linger here, adrift;
Growing old, meeting this season, my sorrows deepen and shift.
When I return to my post, with friends and wine prepared,
The rhino-horn cup shall still be raised in the public hall, shared.
