茶山西面的山坡上，土地空曠，
草木稀疏，顯得空蕩無物。
我叫兒子去鋤掉那裡的荒蕪，
隨意栽種上各種花木。
花朵按時節採摘，其美短暫，
芬芳隨風飄送，四處瀰漫。
這真成了王維那樣的癖好，
幻化出天女散花般的供養之妙。
遊人如蜂蝶般紛至沓來，
晴日裡競相喧鬧徘徊。
心志的堅定難以自持，
如玉的山隴紛亂一時。
誰知在根塵（感官與塵世）之間，
境界竟是如此空洞無邊。
若能真正逆轉那流轉的潮流，
自當見到寂然不動的本休。
花已飛落，無影無蹤，
香飄過後，恍然如夢。
於此，從聽聞中體悟聞性，
你便能獲得那偉大的功用。

West of the sloping Tea Mountain, the land lies bare,
Where grass and trees are sparse, leaving emptiness there.
I call my son to clear the wild, untended ground,
And plant in disarray where flowers may be found.
In season, blossoms are plucked, their beauty brief,
Their fragrance carried far and wide by the wind's relief.
It truly becomes a malady like Wang Wei's own,
An illusion of heavenly maidens' offerings shown.
Visitors swarm like bees and butterflies in play,
Under the bright sun, clamoring throughout the day.
The spirit's firmness cannot hold its own, it seems,
As jade-like ridges dissolve into chaotic streams.
Who knows that between the senses and the dust,
Lies a realm of utmost emptiness, a void we trust?
If one can truly reverse the flowing tide,
Then stillness, unmoving, shall therein reside.
Flowers fly away, leaving no trace behind,
Fragrance passes by, sudden as a dream to the mind.
Here, by listening to the sound within the sound,
You then attain the great function that is profound.
