精心護持的筆管空如雪竹，
只因缺少了上好的霜白色毫毛來束縛。
這寶物（指好筆）藏匿在三個洞穴（指兔毫），
需要您（慷慨地）拔下一毛（來製作）。
我這鬍鬚濃密的主簿不配使用它，
但若取用，它的價值確實很高。

The bamboo shaft, like snow, is kept in vain;
It lacks the frost-white tip, the binding's bane.
This treasure hides in three holes, deep and sly;
