都說這是迎接梅雨的時節，
難道能沒有一日放晴嗎？
窗戶昏暗，為細小的字跡發愁，
屋簷陰暗，稀疏的更鼓聲添亂。
不奇怪青蛙在積水中爭搶席位，
真擔憂大水會漫過城牆。
有什麼辦法能收走這積聚的雨水，
吹簫擊鼓，祭祀祈求西成的豐收。

Could there be not a single day of clear sky's room?
The window dim, I fret o'er tiny script's sight,
Eaves dark, the sparse watch-drum sounds add to the night.
No wonder frogs contend for seats in the flood,
Truly I fear the waters will overtop the city's hood.
How to drain off this accumulated flow?
With flute and drum, pray for west harvest's glow.
