倚著西風，胡塵瀰漫原野，隱憂如刺蝟叢生。
就像東門那對賢父子，只怕使雙親榮耀還不夠。
待洗盡岷山峨眉的憔悴（苦難）。
便拿起手中長勺之柄，為天下八荒，施行無邊恩澤。
卻要上表，請求歸家侍親。

Riding a slow horse, passing through the village lanes.
The imperial edict unreplied, people whisper and wait.
Leaning in the west wind, barbarian dust swells the fields, hidden worries like hedgehogs' spines.
Just like the worthy father-son pair at East Gate, I fear bringing glory to parents is not yet done.
Awaiting to wash away all of Min and E's weariness.
Then take the long ladle in hand, for all directions, create boundless charity.
But instead submit a plea, begging to return and serve.
