我獨自劃著小舟穿過柳蔭離去。
身著綠裙紅袖，與花兒相似，
將船兒撐入繁花深處。
妾的家就住在鴛鴦浦。
妾的容貌如花，反被花兒嫉妒。
折得花兒歸來，嬌媚地相看。
花心充滿幽怨，妾心充滿恨意，
這苦楚勝過蓮心的滋味。

The cool pavilion leans against the slanting sun-tree.
A few showers pass, of reeds and cattails, wild and free.
I pole my light boat myself, through willows, and go.
In green skirt and red sleeves, like a flower aglow,
I push into the flowers' deepest core.
