夜里听着猿鸣无法入睡，
秋日的愁思旅人最先知晓。
竹林幽远生出薄薄烟雾，
山势高峻月亮升起得迟。
又要踏上尘世之路离去，
难以再与老僧约定重逢。

A wild temple sees out the lingering summer,
In an empty room as dusk approaches.
At night, hearing gibbons, I cannot sleep,
Autumn thoughts, the traveler knows first.
Bamboos distant, mist rises thin,
Mountains high, the moon climbs slow.

Hard to make a date with the old monk.
