Today alone, to distant lands his way is laid.
He practices the Four-Part Vinaya with care,
Guards the purity of his seven-fold robe to wear.
At the streamside temple, yellow oranges mature,
In sandy fields, purple taros grow fat and sure.
On the road above the Nine-Dragon Pool,
Few fellow travelers will be his journey's fuel.
