When fire falls on the body, brush it off from the head.
Don't wait till the last moment to call on Bodhisattva,
A true man must be open and broad.
Don't learn from fools being stroked and coaxed,
Also tied up, also shaken off,
Also learning gentleness and roughness,
Also knowing how to shave the head and wear coarse cloth,
Also learning to live like ordinary people.
Speaking plainly to you, you haven't understood,
So I make a long song, singing of the one bowl.
Much in little, little in much,
Don't laugh at the wild man's song of one bowl,
For holding this bowl, I cross the saha world.
Vast blue sky, the moon just rising,
At this moment, the empty realm contains all phenomena.
In many places, floating life creates its own rights and wrongs,
One source, pure and clean, with no coming or going.
Don't vainly let the mind learn from water bubbles,
A hundred hairs flowing fire, with nothing to engage.
Better to sit quietly in the true suchness ground,
Let magpies build nests on the head from then on.
The royal son of the golden wheel for ten thousand generations,
Is just this true suchness, spiritual awareness.
Under the bodhi tree, delivering all beings,
Delivering all, yet no birth and no death.
A true great man,
Formless, markless, great Vairocana.
When worldly toils are extinguished, true suchness remains,
A round, bright, priceless pearl.
Eyes not seeing, ears not hearing,
No seeing, no hearing, yet nothing not heard.
From the start, one bowl has no words to speak,
Today, a thousand words forced to explain.
Forced to explain, one must listen attentively,
Everyone always has the true suchness nature.
Just like gold within the ore,
Smelt away the sand, the gold body pure.
The real is false, the false is real,
To seek real and false, no one remains.
Using the mind not to give rise to vexation,
Clothing and food timely nourish the physical body.
Good also attach, bad also attach,
Not greedy for anything, without defiled attachment.
Also no bad, also no good,
One level,坦然, the path of equality.
Coarse also eat, fine also eat,
Don't learn from ordinary people's superficial view.
Also no coarse, also no fine,
The fragrant feast above has no root or stem.
Sitting also walking, walking also sitting,
Sitting under the dead tree is the bodhi fruit.
Also no birth, also no death,
Buddhas of the three times are all like this.
Leaving is attaching, attaching is leaving,
In the gate of true mark, there is no true meaning.
Cannot leave, cannot attach,
Where else to seek medicine to cure illness?
Speaking is silent, silent is speaking,
Speaking and silent, tracing no fixed place.
Also no speech, also no silence,
Don't call east and west north and south.
Angry is joyful, joyful is angry,
I myself subdue demons and turn the dharma wheel.
Also no anger, also no joy,
Water not leaving waves, waves are water.
Stingy is giving, giving is stingy,
Not leaving inside, outside, and in between.
Also no stingy, also no giving,
Silent, desolate, nothing to grasp.
Bitter is joyful, joyful is bitter,
Just this practice severs the gate.
Also no bitter, also no joyful,
Originally, self-nature has no bonds.
Defiled is pure, pure is defiled,
Two extremes, bad realms, have no connection afterward.
Also no defiled, also no pure,
The great thousand same one true suchness nature.
Medicine is illness, illness is medicine,
In the end, both things completely cast aside.
Also no medicine, also no illness.
Exactly the true suchness, spiritual awareness nature.
Demon is Buddha.
Buddha is demon,
Like shadow following form, waves on water.
Also no demon, also no Buddha,
The three realms compared, not a single thing.
Ordinary is sage, sage is ordinary,
Glue in color, salt in water.
Also no ordinary, also no sage,
Myriad practices swept away, not a single practice.
Real is false, false is real,
Naturally from ordinary arise evil dust.
Also no real, also no false,
If not calling, who will answer?
Originally no surname, originally no name,
Just so腾腾, walking by faith.
Sometimes marketplaces and butcher shops,
A single lotus leaf born on fire.
Also once leaning on a staff traveling to capital Luo,
Body like floating clouds, no abiding.
Ultimately, from the start, it's a lodging,
Other lands everywhere, no bonds.
If seeking precepts, three poisons, illness medicine, when to cure;
If seeking meditation, I myself纵横, greatly pitiable.
Not mad, not insane,
Within the world, transcending the world.
People of the time don't understand this meaning,
Hitting south and north.
If seeking dharma, ask Kasyapa on Cock's Foot Mountain.
Heard that transmitting the robe is there,
No mind, no need to seek someone.
If seeking cultivation, eighty thousand stupas, where to seek?
Only know crying on yellow leaves,
Unaware black clouds遮 the sun's head.
Don't blame wild words without sequence,
Sifting sieve gradually enters coarse within fine.
Just this coarse within fine.
Just this coarse within fine also none,
That is the round, bright, true meaning.
Also no true, only having fame and hearing is dust.
If within dust understanding true reality,
That is the future transcendent person.
No fabrication,
Walking alone, sitting alone, empty索索.
No nirvana,
Originally, birth and death have no relation.
Must directly reflect,
Don't vainly plunge the body into an empty well.
No going also no coming,
Bright mirror hung on high platform.

No need to use the mind to calculate劫灰.
