治理着千里横跨汾水的区域
黎民百姓应当深为感念
朝廷也仔细听闻你的政声
心志期许在于黄老之道
处理家事如同建立功勋
超脱尘世需要仙道伴侣
人间却需要你这样的使君
繁花均匀地飘落满地
山峦很近云雾弥漫厅堂
我这戎装客子无缘前去
只能西望夕阳的余晖

Alone you spread a rule of peace, serene and pure
Governing a thousand li across the Fen's broad stream
The common folk should feel it deep, of that I'm sure
The court too hears in detail of this gentle theme.
Your heart's desire lies in the ways of Huang and Lao
Your household's work is but a form of merit true
Beyond this world, you'd need a companion of the Tao
Yet in this world, a governor like you.
Blossoms fall thick and even on the ground
Mountains press close, filling the hall with cloud
A soldier-guest, no reason to be bound
Westward I watch the sun in evening's shroud.
