At dawn, a bowl of congee.
At night, do not eat to fullness.
Ring the Jingyang Bell,
Tap teeth thirty-six times.
In great cold or great heat,
Refrain from lustful desires.
Do not lie with spouse when drunk or full,
Or the five viscera will be overturned.
Moxibustion may burn the body,
Better to sleep alone.
Sit or lie not in the wind,
Bathe often in warm places.
After eating, walk a hundred steps,
Often rub the belly with hand.
Do not eat scaleless fish,
Nor the meat of fowl and beasts.
Birds and beasts that died naturally,
Eating them shortens life.
Clay and wood form images,
Seeking them brings grace and fortune.
Father's essence, mother's flesh,
How can one bear to divide north and south?
Those who cherish life and body,
Will have the six whites shining like jade.
