The dawn light brims, the golden palace gates swing wide.
At green-locked doors, attendants of incense aid the sun's rise,
Purple mists guard the towers, embracing mountains to their side.
Rows linked like simurgh and heron, immortal officials dance,
Shadows stir dragon and snake, as gentle breath urges on.
The forbidden, secret imperial countenance is ever near,
A humble subject wishes to offer the cup of ten thousand years drawn.
