Last year I once composed a poem on these flowers.
How often I heard of their ripening time in the south garden.
Chewing through the red fragrance can refresh one's bones.
Plucking the last cinnabar berries seems to set the branch ablaze.
Orioles stealing pecks—their hearts must be intoxicated.
Travelers secretly gazing—their eyes also grow infatuated.
I hear a feast is spread beneath the jewel-like trees,
Allowing them to be climbed and plucked, half disheveled.
