不识亲尊长,外面认假爷。
优昙不肯摘,专采葫芦花。
葫芦花未落,常被三五枷。
如斯之等类,轮转劫恒沙。

不认识真正的亲长,
却向外认假爹。
不肯采摘优昙花,
专去采葫芦花。
葫芦花还未凋落,
便常被三五重枷锁束缚。
像这样的众生,
在恒河沙数的劫难中轮回。
All Buddhas and sentient beings
Originally belong to the same family.
Not recognizing their own kin and elders,
They acknowledge an impostor father outside.
They won't pick the udumbara flower,
But exclusively gather calabash blossoms.
Before the calabash flowers even fall,
They are often bound by three or five shackles.
Beings of this sort
Revolve through kalpas numerous as Ganges' sands.
庞蕴批判众生舍本逐末。
指向根本认同的错位,导致无尽的周期轮回。
以家庭关系比喻佛与众生的本源性,批判世人舍本逐末的修行误区
