诸子百家学说难以斟酌汲取，天下才士容易消沉埋没。
面对景物感叹日影移动，窥看园中光阴岂能改变？
利用整个冬天辛勤积累学问，飞逝的光阴比双倍黄金还重。
效法苏秦刺股的情志正被激励，效法匡衡偷光读书的思绪越发深沉。
如果能让太阳再次停留（指珍惜时间），最终或许能继承孔子韦编三绝的精神。

Vast achievement comes from toilsome effort, the earnest heart of a determined scholar.
The nine schools of thought are hard to sip and draw from, the four seas easily sink into obscurity.
Facing the scene, sigh at the moving sundial shadow, peering into the garden, how can the shade be changed?
Through three winters toil at gathered learning, a team of swift sunbeams outweighs double gold.
The passion to pierce one's thigh just grows stronger, the thought to steal light grows ever deeper.
If one could hope for the sun to stand still again, in the end one might succeed the sound of snapped bamboo slips (of Confucius).
