忆长安，八月时，阙下天高旧仪。

yì cháng ān， bā yuè shí， què xià tiān gāo jiù yí。

衣冠共颁金镜，犀象对舞丹墀。

回忆长安，正是八月时节。

宫阙之下秋高气爽，旧日仪典犹在。

百官共同领受金镜赏赐，

犀牛大象在丹墀前相对起舞。

更喜爱终南山与灞水之滨，

那可爱的秋草，碧绿繁茂惹人怜惜。

I recall Chang'an, in the eighth month

Beneath the palace, sky high, old rites remain.

Officials together receive the golden mirror,

Rhinoceros and elephants dance on the vermilion steps.

I love even more the Zhongnan hills and Ba River banks,

Pitiful, the autumn grass, so lush and green.
