谁怜惜那身穿粗布衣的寒士，
他怀揣美玉，正待价而沽。
终成器皿，总期望能通达于世，
遇到时机，岂会遭人诬蔑？
宝物如同照亮车乘的明珠，
价值重于论都定价的宝剑。
浮动的光彩如朝霞彩虹般绚烂，
高悬的光华似夜晚孤月般皎洁。
多年来沦落在瓦砾之中，
今日才从泥泞路途里脱出。
开采雕琢要依靠良匠的技艺，
莫让瑕疵掩盖了美玉的光华。

Holding jade within, he seeks a buyer now.
A finished vessel hopes to find its use at last,
Meeting the right time, how could he be outcast?
His treasure rivals pearls that light the carriage ride,

His floating colors match the morning rainbow's hue,
His suspended light rivals the lone night moon, true.
For years he lay among tiles and rubble, unseen,
Today he emerges from the mud, washed clean.
