弯弓注碧浔，掉尾行凉沚。

wān gōng zhù bì xún， diào wěi xíng liáng zhǐ。

青枫下晚照，正在澄明里。

qīng fēng xià wǎn zhào， zhèng zài chéng míng lǐ。

白话文翻译

拉弯弓瞄准碧绿深水，

鱼儿摆尾游在清凉小洲。

青枫树下映照着夕阳，

正处在澄澈明亮的水中。

拨动弓弦射断荷叶，

溅出的鲜血染红了菱花蕊。

倘若让沉溺狩猎的君主听闻，

他会将这暴行转移到烟波浩渺处。

Bending the bow, aiming at the green depths,

The fish flicks its tail, swimming in the cool islet.

Green maples under the setting sun's glow,

Right there in the clear, bright water.

Plucking the string, snapping the lotus fan,

Splashing blood dyes the water chestnut stamens.

If the ruler obsessed with hunting heard of this,

He'd move this violence to the misty waters.
