华车在京城大道上竞相寻觅春光，
我独自关上简陋的门户，抱病起身。
月下漫步怕踩伤小径的青苔，
取出琴来因而拂去满床的灰尘。
清明时世倘若能有朝廷的眷顾分派，
明镜自会照见他新生的白发。
何况已有身居高位的知己存在，
像原宪那样，莫要为生计贫穷忧愁。

Carriages vie on spring-seeking roads, purple dust.
Alone I shut my rustic gate, rising from illness.
Walking by moonlight, I fear to harm the moss on secluded paths.
Taking my lute, I brush off a layer of dust.
If in bright times I'm granted a branch from the crimson tree,
Let the clear mirror reflect his newly silvered hair.
Moreover, I have lofty friends who understand me,
Like Yuan Xian, don't worry about livelihood in poverty.
