山僧自达空门久，
淬炼心珠功已构。
珠迥玲珑主客分，
往往声如师子吼。
师子吼，
非常久，
皆明佛性真如理。
有时往往自思惟，
豁然大意心欢喜。
或造经，
或造论，
或说渐兮或说顿。
若在诸佛运神通，
或在凡夫兴鄙吝。
此心珠，
如水月，
地角天涯无殊别。
祇因迷悟有参差，
所以如来多种说。
地狱趣，
饿鬼趣，
多种轮回无暂住。
此非诸佛不慈悲，
岂非阎王配交做。

山僧我悟入空门已经很久。
淬炼心性宝珠的功夫已经成就。
宝珠晶莹剔透，能分主客（之境）。
发出的声音常常如同狮子吼。
狮子吼，并非持久不断。
都是为了阐明佛性真如之理。
有时常常自己思惟（佛法）。
豁然贯通大义，心中充满欢喜。
有的人造作经书，有的人造作论典。
有的人讲渐修法门，有的人讲顿悟法门。
若在诸佛（境界），则运用神通（示现）。
若在凡夫（境界），则起于鄙陋吝啬（之心）。
这颗心珠，如同水中之月。
天涯海角，没有差别。
只因为众生迷悟程度参差不齐。
所以如来佛才施设多种教说。
地狱道，饿鬼道。
种种轮回，没有片刻停住。
这并非诸佛不慈悲。
难道不是阎王根据（业力）分配运作？
劝诫世间之流，要深深体会明白。
当下现成的心珠，不要轻易浪掷丢失。
五蕴和合的身体尚且不知（其虚幻）。
待到百骸散坏之后，又到哪里去寻觅（心珠）呢？

This mountain monk has long reached the gate of emptiness.
Tempered and refined the mind-pearl, the work is done.
The pearl, luminous and exquisite, distinguishes host and guest.
Its sound often roars like a lion.
The lion's roar is not constant.
All illuminate the principle of Buddha-nature, Suchness.
Sometimes, often, I ponder by myself.
Suddenly grasping the great meaning, the heart rejoices.
Some compose sutras, some compose treatises.
Some speak of gradual, some speak of sudden.
If with the Buddhas, they employ spiritual powers.
If with ordinary folk, they arise from base stinginess.
This mind-pearl is like water and moon.
From earth's corner to heaven's edge, no difference.
Only because delusion and enlightenment vary.
Thus the Tathagata gave many kinds of teachings.
The hell realm, the hungry ghost realm.
Many kinds of rebirth, no permanent abode.
This is not because the Buddhas lack compassion.
Is it not King Yama who assigns the dealings?
I urge those of the current flow: deeply comprehend.
The mind-pearl present now—do not frivolously lose it.
While the five-aggregate body is still whole, yet unknowing.
After the hundred bones scatter, where will you seek it?
