浩浩终不息，乃知东极临。

hào hào zhōng bù xī， nǎi zhī dōng jí lín。

ㄏㄠˋ ㄏㄠˋ ㄓㄨㄥㄅㄨˋ ㄒㄧ，ㄋㄞˇ ㄓㄉㄨㄥㄐㄧˊ ㄌㄧㄣˊ。

众流归海意，万国奉君心。

zhòng liú guī hǎi yì， wàn guó fèng jūn xīn。

未辞添雾雨，接上遇衣襟。

浩浩长江永不停息，

才知道它东流直至天际。

百川归海的意向，

万国尊奉君王的心意。

水色借得潇湘的辽阔，

水声驱入滟滪堆的深险。

不推辞增添的雾雨，

迎上来打湿了我的衣襟。

Vast and unceasing it flows,

Then I know it reaches the eastern extreme.

All streams share the intent to return to the sea,

All nations hold the heart to serve their lord.

Its hue borrows the breadth of Xiao and Xiang,

Its sound drives through the depth of Yanyu.

It does not refuse added mist and rain,

Meeting them, it wets my lapel.
