自然是众多树木杂乱纷繁，
海棕怎知自己超群出众。
想移栽到北辰之地不可得，
偶尔有西域胡僧能辨识。

By the clear river's bank in Zuomian's public hall,
Stands a sea palm, one trunk, towering into clouds tall.
Like dragon scales, rhinoceros hide,交错落错落layered and deep,
With grey ridges, white bark, ten-arm-span patterns they keep.
Naturally, all other trees are in chaotic array,
How could the sea palm know itself stands out, in its own way?
To transplant it to the North Star is not to be gained,
At times, only monks from Western Regions have it explained.
