Prefectural soldiers, cloud-like masses, formed camps and settlements.
Steadfast, a garrison at the edge of the clouds
Gradually, all speak of spring's flowers and willows.

Fifty-eight clans intermarry.
Swidden fields yield sweet yellow rice
Nets in water catch golden fish, perfect for drunken bliss.
Bandits and tribes, unpredictable, fall like snow
When will armor and helmet not leave the door?
At night, worship the Heavenly Emperor, spread his virtue
By day, transform the mountain tribes into civilized people.
A single beat of the watchtower drum as the moon rises
