畏惧酷暑又加上干旱，
火红的云霞丝毫没有消散。
篱笆边燥热，有饥饿的麻雀，
池塘干涸，渴求水的鸥鸟也不见了。
推起头巾，头依然疼痛，
提起衣裳，汗水也在流淌。
如果要在这样的日子被贬谪，
那将是发配前往炎热的南方州郡。

Dreading the heat, and drought adds to the woes;
The fiery clouds show no sign of retreat.
By the warm fence, hungry sparrows chirp;
The pond dried up, thirsty gulls are gone.
Pushing up my headscarf, my head still aches;
