地势优胜，生长着许多高大的树木，
亭子幽静，俯瞰着古老的城墙。
春雨过后，新生的枝梢交织成一片浓荫，
暮色穿过烟霭，显得更加深沉。
树影遍布琴和书籍之上，
枝叶声穿过门窗，重重传来。
凤凰栖息于此应该不会太久，
荆棘丛生之地怎能容得下它呢？

A favored spot with many towering trees stands tall,
A secluded pavilion overlooks the ancient wall.
Spring twigs, after the rain, weave a dense, leafy screen,
The evening hues grow richer through the misty sheen.
Their shadows fall on zithers and books, far and near,
Their sounds, through doors and windows, penetrate the ear.
The phoenix shall not perch here long, I apprehend,
How can thorns and bramples a noble bird befriend?
