幽暗的窗前，萤火虫的影子纷乱飞舞，
秋天的帷帐间，露水的寒气深重。
天地间各种声响喧闹后已归于寂静，
只有青天一片沉寂幽深。
我怀着悲怆的心情思念高洁的友人，
在静默中抱持着冲淡的胸怀。
遥遥地忆起那位忘言的知己，
写下这寄托山水之情的诗篇。

In the dark window, firefly shadows flit in disarray,
The autumn bed-curtain holds the deep chill of dew.
The chorus of myriad sounds has hushed into silence,
Only the azure sky hangs heavy and profound.
With sorrowful longing, I think of my noble companions,
In silent solitude, I embrace a tranquil heart.
Far off, I recall the friend who understands without words,
And pour out the music of mountains and waters in my verse.
