鸿雁飞过的边塞，云朵正在穿越，
飞鸟之外的远山，落日正缓缓西沉。
手持节杖出使，功业何在？
捐躯报国的志向却未曾有片刻闲怠。
不知我这双垂老的眼睛，
何时才能再见到皇帝的容颜。

My temples grey as time appears.
Beyond wild geese, clouds cross the frontier line,
Past lonely birds, the sun sinks behind the mountain's spine.
What merit have I, bearing the envoy's staff with pride?
