老去时追随萤火虫的微光，
昏暗来临便借茗茶驱散倦意。
遥想千年以前的古人，
不知他们曾读过多少年书。

Leaning on the parasol tree, I accept stagnation,
Caressing the scroll, I heave a sigh as I read on.
Aging, I follow the glow of a withered firefly,
In dusk, I rely on tea to dispel the gloom.
Thinking of those a thousand years above,
I wonder how many years they spent with books.
