衰老的耳朵时常听见风雨声，
瘦弱的身体实在禁不起寒风。
过去针灸不过是白费验证，
如今讨伐病魔的檄文谁能写成？
用狐皮制成的帽子还在，
孩子们可不要笑话我这老翁。

And winter's plague now joins the grim array.
My aging ears oft hear the rain's harsh beat,
This weakened frame cannot the wind's chill meet.
The needles used of old proved vain relief,
Who now can write a summons to banish grief?

Children, do not laugh at this tale I've told.
