一半分给百姓作为居所，
还藏着一道弯曲的溪流。
喜鹊窥视着莲花座，
僧人占据了菜花田畦。
白色的蠹鱼蛀蚀了粉末（指书籍或壁画），
青色的干裂兽像剥落了泥塑。
幸有唐代的刻石留存，
陪伴着高峻廊庑上的题字。

Half given to dwellers as their shelter and abode,
Yet still a winding stream is hidden, out of sight.
Magpies peek at the lotus-throne, their path bestowed,
The monk claims plots where rape flowers bloom, bathed in light.
White bookworms gnaw, the powder from the pages fades,
Green, dried-up beasts have peeled the clay from off the wall.
Fortunately, Tang inscriptions here still parade,
Keeping company with steep corridors, standing tall.
