漂泊于江湖之间，身体渐渐衰老，
但向往山林水泽，是我本来的心志。
经世济民的抱负不敢再去探问，
但耕田耘地的劳作还可以追寻。
有一顷半顷田地就足够了，
劳作到三更半夜，或是更深时分。
亲朋好友互相亲近往来，
备好鸡和酒，敞开被尘世束缚的胸怀。

By rivers and lakes, my body ages slow,
My heart to hills and marshes yearns to go.
Statecraft and wealth I dare not ask about,
But plough and hoe I still can seek out.
A field or half, that's all I'd ever need,
Till midnight deep, or when the night's recede.

With fowl and wine, we dust off worldly care.
