舞鹤亭空亭,无鹤胡为名。
亦如西山赋招鹤,无鹤可招也不恶。
何必玄裳缟袖二八真娉婷,想像标致便足使人毛骨清。
仙翁好鹤非徒尔,鹤德从来比君子。
坡仙自谓吾不如,今翁与坡岂其殊。
苍苔白石有余乐,一似箪瓢甘澹泊。
笑杀飞鸢太不灵,贪腥嗜腐哗然争。
九臯一唳醒人耳,又如片言之善应千里。
更笑荒林老木终日号毕逋,说吉说凶谁听渠。
仙翁爱鹤爱其德,我读翁诗三叹息。
便好从翁痛饮醉倒斯亭边,振袂起舞学胎仙。

也像西山写《招鹤赋》,没有鹤可招也不坏。
何必非要那十六位真正的、身着玄裳缟袖的娉婷女子,
想象其风姿便足以使人感到神清气爽。
仙翁喜爱鹤并非徒然,
鹤的品德从来被比作君子。
苏东坡自称自己不如鹤,
如今这位翁与东坡难道有什幺不同?
苍苔白石间自有乐趣,
一如颜回甘于箪食瓢饮的淡泊。
可笑那飞鸢太不灵巧,
贪恋腥腐之物,喧哗争抢。
鹤在九皋一声鸣叫便惊醒人耳,
又像一句善言能应验于千里之外。
更可笑荒林老树终日发出‘毕逋’的叫声,
说吉道凶,谁听它的呢?
仙翁爱鹤是爱其品德,
我读翁的诗再三叹息。
正好跟随翁痛饮,醉倒在这亭边,
挥动衣袖起舞,学习那胎仙(鹤)的姿态。
The Dancing Crane Pavilion stands empty, no crane in sight,
Without a crane, why bear this name, this plight?
Just like the 'Summoning the Crane' ode of Western Hill,
Having no crane to summon is not an ill.
Why must there be sixteen true beauties, in black and white attire,
Imagining their grace is enough to cleanse one's spirit with fire.
The immortal sage loves cranes, and not without cause,
A crane's virtue has always been likened to a noble's laws.
Su Dongpo himself said, 'I am not their peer,'
Now, this old sage and Su—are they not similar, dear?
Green moss and white stones hold joy enough and more,
Like a simple bowl of food, content with being poor.
Laughable are the kites, so clumsy and unwise,
Greedy for stench, craving rot, in noisy dispute they rise.
A single cry from the marsh's depth awakens the ear,
Like a word of good counsel that travels far and near.
More laughable are the old trees in barren woods, cawing all day,
Telling fortune or doom—who listens to what they say?
The immortal sage loves cranes for their virtue true,
I read his poems and heave deep sighs, not few.
It would be fine to follow the sage, drink deeply until I fall,
By this pavilion's side, shake my sleeves and dance, a crane's grace to recall.
名实之辨触及对事物本质的认知困境。
借亭名无鹤引发对名实关系的思索与感怀。
