珊瑚般华美的文采胜过银钩的光泽，
我们曾手持书册相约去作漫无边际的遨游。
世间的道路如同商周的铭文诰书般曲折深奥，
在这旅舍，身处楚地边缘，我遥望着吴地那头。
新写的诗篇姑且描摹分别以来的境况，
飞过的大雁忽然惊醒了客居之人的秋思。
连我的魂魄也知道无法飞到你的身边，
漫漫长夜，只能赢得一遍遍细数更筹的时光。

The coral's brilliant hues outshine silver hooks' gleam,
With books in hand, we pledged to roam in boundless dream.
The world's path twists like Shang's bronze script or Zhou's decree,
At this inn, where Chu ends, I gaze toward Wu's lea.
These new verses but sketch the state since we did part,
The passing geese startle the wanderer's autumn heart.
Even my soul knows it cannot fly to your side,
Through the long night, I count the watchmen's marks, my guide.
