浓密的浮萍妨碍了垂钓，
高大的柳树阻碍了观星。
忙碌时只有僧人来访，
清闲时唯有雨声可听。
寻思这并非长久之计，
终究还是怀念我那柴门小院。

Moving to the water's edge, late in the day,
The warm wind greens the islet, lush and gay.
Dense duckweed hinders casting of the line;
Tall willows block the view of stars divine.
Busy times see only monks who come to call;
Leisure hours hear only rain that softly falls.
I ponder, this is not a lasting plan—
I'll yearn again for my own rustic span.
