雍滩束缚著水流，水流湍急如箭；
逆水行舟上滩，滩边的崖壁陡峭矗立。
船篙折断、缆绳绷断，船只无法前行；
乘船的人心中恐惧，船夫低声哭泣。
柳风摇曳著春花，春雨过后天气转晴；
一片飞帆忽然掠过，快得如同飞逝的流星。
仙人坐在织机前，织著锦鲸般的华美图案；
他邀请我为银河的清澈赋诗一篇。
茫茫天路高远，没有台阶可以攀登；
我困顿在此处坎坷，为何要来到这般境地？
闲暇中我将自身际遇询问仙人；
仙人微笑着指向那滩中挣扎的船只。
长风引导著船只，水流淹没了险滩；
天地间的变化，只在瞬息之间。
若没有凌驾清气、追溯紫霄的仙骨；
何必耗费心力用火炼制还丹？
五百童男向东航行入海寻药；
海水柔弱，山峦遥远，无处采集仙草。
千层万级的高台，直通云天；
方士们在那里召唤神灵，神灵却不降临。
你难道没看见吗？桃花开满山野，却不知仙源何处；
刘晨和阮肇就这样径直进入了天台山去。

At Yong Rapid, the stream is bound, its waters swift as arrows fly;
Against the current up the rapid, sheer cliffs rise to scrape the sky.
Broken poles and snapped cables, the boat can no longer advance;
The passenger is filled with dread, the boatman weeps in helpless trance.
Willow breeze sways spring blooms, after rain the sky turns clear and bright;
A flying sail suddenly passes by, swift as a shooting star in flight.
A celestial being sits at his loom, weaving brocade of whales so grand;
He invites me to compose a verse, about the Silver River's clarity, as planned.
Vast and endless, the heavenly road is high, with no steps for me to ascend;
I am stuck here in hardship, for what purpose did I hither wend?
Leisurely, I ask the immortal about the affairs of my mortal frame;
The immortal smiles and points at the boat struggling in the rapid, the same.
A long wind guides the boat, waters submerge the rapids in their flow;
Between heaven and earth, transformations occur in a moment, swift and slow.
If one lacks the bone to ascend the pure azure and trace the purple air,
What use is there to spend fire refining the Elixir with utmost care?
Five hundred virgin boys sailed east into the sea, a quest they undertook,
Where waters were weak and mountains remote, no medicinal herbs they could look.
A terrace of a thousand layers, ten thousand tiers, reaching to the sky,
Where alchemists summoned spirits, but the spirits would not draw nigh.
Have you not seen? Peach blossoms cover the hills, their source unknown to sight,
As Liu and Ruan found the path and entered the Tiantai Mountains in the fading light.
