谁是世间万物的主宰？
天机的奥秘在于灵性的关窍。
深居简出，静默地自我观照，
瑕疵与污垢怎能侵扰？
那昭然若揭的素丝所象征的道义，
实际上辅佐着郡守治理一方。
自身廉洁是为官者所珍视的，
内心精纯是士人难以达到的境界。
请将它比作秋夜的明月，
也当作一壶冰来观赏。

Who is the master of all moving things?
The heavenly mechanism lies in the spiritual gate.
Dwelling in seclusion, silently reflecting upon oneself,
How can flaws and stains ever touch it?
The bright principle of the pure white silk,
Assists the governance of the prefecture in truth.
A clean body is prized by officials,
A refined heart is hard for scholars to attain.
Let us compare it to the autumn moon,
And also view it as a pot of ice.
