夜晚的燥热让我睡下又起身，
独自走到池边的亭子里。
倾斜的荷叶上滚动着露珠，
高高的柳枝上挂着一颗稀疏的星星。
秋天的蟋蟀已经在草丛中鸣叫，
干涸池塘里的鱼不时地咂食浮萍。
没有云彩，哪里会有雨呢？
澄澈深邃，整个天空一片湛蓝。

The night's heat drives me from my bed to rise,
Alone I walk to the pavilion by the pool.
The slanting lotus drips with dewy sighs,
On the tall willow hangs a star, faint and cool.
Autumn crickets already chirp in the grass,
The stranded fish now and then nibble at duckweed.
No clouds, how could there be rain to pass?
Vast and deep, the sky is a stretch of azure indeed.
