The temple perches atop soaring clouds,
Where monks dwell upon the ultimate peak.
The river's roar comes and goes in broken strains,
Pines and cypresses spread in sparse, graceful forms.
Facing you, I forget the mortal world;
Ascending here, my mind finds perfect ease.
