雨中的树上，杨花浓密茸茸地聚集；
晴朗的天空里，它们散乱地飞舞。
倘若它们能有力地扑动，
为何只被歌咏为依依不舍的情态？
在花丛中，它们完全迷惑了蝴蝶；
在风前，屡屡沾点缀在人的衣衫上。
即便被风吹尽也无妨——
病后起身，我的衣带已觉宽松围身。

In clear skies, they scatter, flying wildly.
If they could but flutter with purpose,
Why only sing of their lingering grace?
Amidst the blossoms, they utterly bewilder butterflies;

Rising from illness, my gown hangs loose around me.
