荷叶受损,再无如衣裙般的遮蔽;
The heat's torment should herald the Dog Days' reign,
Yet the breeze is fresh, not a sign of blessed rain.
Who knew the floodwaters had not yet receded,
And suddenly, drought's gaze is all that's conceded.
Lotus leaves, damaged, lack their gown-like array;
Chrysanthemums, withered, their fragrant fare delay.
Farmers still look at me with a critical eye,
Saying, 'Your affairs differ—our busyness is high.'
