回忆往昔我们在城南相会，
佩戴玉饰的骏马轻踏着春风。
美好的年华触动人心，
我折下花枝赠你，作为仪容的装饰。
俯仰之间便彼此失散，
你离去如同南飞的大雁。
女萝的衣裳青翠葱茏，
岩石上的松树茂盛蔚然。
岁末严寒中没有傍晚的秀色，
怎能长久地相依相从？
我愿化作日月的光芒，
落入你的怀抱衣袖之中。
十五的月亮盈亏循环如常，
即使相隔千里，情意也仿佛可以相通。

I recall our meeting south of town in days gone by,
With jade pendants on our steeds, we rode the gentle spring breeze.
The bloom of youth stirred hearts, a feeling none could deny,
I plucked a sprig to give you, a token meant to please.
In a moment's turn, we parted, lost to one another's sight,
Like the wild geese flying south, you vanished in your flight.
Green, green, the maiden vine's attire,
Lush, lush, the pine upon the rock.
In winter's chill, no evening glow, no bloom to admire,
How could we stay together, through time's unceasing clock?
I wish to be the sun and moon, their radiant light,
To fall into the bosom of your sleeves, shining bright.
As the moon waxes and wanes in cycles ever true,
Though a thousand miles apart, our hearts may beat as one, anew.
