On cliff's peak, the pearl palace is free of worldly dust.
Stream waters sever distant hills, breaking their hues;
Woodland apes, at times, bring along the flute's refrain.
A hundred years of Tang—only poetry remains;
A thousand years of Han affairs seem but a dream recalled.
The lake carp still transmit tales of divine wonder;
All who speak of it call it the Tiantai paradise.
