南望故里，瘴疠之气已微茫。
门前的兵卫收起了仪仗画戟；
旅途的风尘沾满了游子的衣裳。
遥想家乡六七月的时候，
喜庆的气氛定会充满家中的厅堂。

Deep in royal grace, I'm allowed to go home.
Northward, the Xiang River broadens its hold;
Southward, faint miasmic mists over the hills roam.
Guards put away halberds at the gate;
Dust of journey soils the traveler's gown.

Joy will fill the courtyard of my hometown.
