风景从古到今一直如此，
但这新亭如今的意义却已不同。
我极其怜惜那远去的江水，
它依然被旧日的山峦环绕。
得与失共同牵动着千般思虑，
成与败都取决于同一个枢机。
我所思念的唯有谢安那样的人物，
不仅仅是因为他在淮水、淝水之战的胜利。

The landscape remains through ages old and new,
Yet this pavilion's meaning shifts with time.
How I cherish the river flowing from view,
Still embraced by the ancient hills sublime.
Gain and loss share a thousand cares the same,
Success and failure turn on a single hinge.
The one I think of is Master Xie, of fame,
Not merely for victory at Huai and Fei's fringe.
