在晴朗的窗边沐浴后，我试穿春日的衣裳，
正是江南三月芳草萋萋的时节。
树荫笼罩的园林中，鸟儿鸣叫得欢快，
和风吹拂的庭院里，柳絮缓缓飘飞。
我这个散漫的郎官，公务只是草草画诺应付，
作为诗人，生涯唯有赋诗而已。
极目远望江天，心中已充满许多憾恨，
何必再为树叶凋零而常年悲伤呢？

After bathing by the sunlit window, I try on my spring attire,
In the third month of spring, the southern shore is fragrant with grass.
The garden, shaded and lush, resounds with birds' joyful choir,
In the mild breeze of the courtyard, willow catkins drift slow, alas.
A casual clerk, my official duties are but a perfunctory nod,
A poet's life is solely spent in composing verses, free and odd.
Gazing far at river and sky, my heart is already filled with rue,
Why need I grieve for falling leaves, as years forever renew?
