事业随从着下滩的船只而起伏，
一年来在江边窃据着官位俸禄。
厌恶苍蝇弄脏砧板桌几的污秽，
爱护文书而用驱鼠刀加以防护。
风约束着浮萍，云层叠在山峰，
日光隐于老桧，雨水翻腾着波涛。
深感惭愧对公家事务无所补益，
只愿年成丰收，弓箭都收入囊中不再动用。

My career drifts with the boat down the rapid stream,
For a year I've held office by the riverside, a stolen gleam.
I loathe the flies that stain my desk, a foul and greasy crew,
And guard my books with a knife that keeps the gnawing mice at bay anew.
The wind gathers duckweed, clouds pile on peaks in a hazy dream,
Sun hides in ancient cypress, rain turns waves to a roaring stream.
Deeply ashamed I contribute naught to public affairs in sight,
I only pray for a rich year, with bows and quivers stored away from fight.
